Hey Guys!!
As some of you may know, I have been musically involved in a couple web series projects created by the lovely and talented Courtney Zito! She featured my music in season 1 of Hollywood Girl, and then I wrote the theme song for her spinoff series titled Dirty Thirties! It has been SO much fun collaborating with her, her writing is hysterical and it’s just so nice to work with creatives as talented and passionate about this work as she is! Well after a long hiatus, as Courtney has recently had a lot of exciting things happen in her life, such as marriage and having her first baby… I am excited to announce that Hollywood Girl Season THREE has finally premiered on the inter webs and she not only features 1, but TWO musical pieces that I have written or cowritten on. In Part 1 of the season reboot, she features the “Goodbye August” instrumental track by my band Stelladeora, and then features a montage alongside my track “Dreamworld”, produced by the talented Rohan Sukhdeo. I can’t wait to see what is in store for Quinn on this season of HOLLYWOOD GIRL! Also, this is really exciting – but Courtney is planning on submitting this series to the EMMIES 2017! Much Luck to everyone involved on this project!!! Watch Season 3, Part 1 Below. Don’t forget to comment, rate, and subscribe! And most certainly stay tuned for more! Congrats for being an official selection at the Rome Web Awards 2014! Dirty Thirties will be featuring my title theme at the beginning of each episode, so I am sooooo proud and excited to see where things go with the new series! Thanks for all of your support! More news coming soon! I promise! Justina xoxo I know I posted something awhile ago about a student film from LaVerne College in California, using my music in their film called “Mind Running”
Well I have finally been able to find it , and here it is! They ended up using “Write Me a Song” in the intro, & “Believe” at the end. Also don’t mind the typo in the end credits “Believe Radio”. They must’ve followed that exact name , as it was the file name I used so I would recognize that I was sending them the mastered track. (I have about a bagillion versions of all my songs in my itunes, scratch tracks, pre production tracks, finished tracks, then finally the master, so sometimes I temporarily change the file names so I can easily recognize what is the master aka radio ready edit. I must've forgotten to change it back hahah!) So please overlook this little error LoL .. And now, without further adieu, I present you “Mind Running”, courtesy of LaVerne College. Hello Lovelies!
I want to tell you something that I am so honored to be a part! I am going to be a part of my very first Book Soundtrack!! I was recently approached by author Alex Austin (a Los Angeles-based novelist and playwright), to use my song “Write Me a Song” , as part of his book soundtrack. His book, titled “The Red Album of Asbury Park Remixed” is about 22-year-old musician Sam Nesbitt, who escaped a corrupt and dead-end life in “The Perfume Factory,” and struggles to rid himself of his personal demons, past and present, as he pursues a rock ‘n’ roll dream against the backdrop of Asbury Park, NJ. “The Red Album of Asbury Park Remixed” is the sequel to Austin’s critically acclaimed novel “The Perfume Factory”, a coming-of-age story set on the Jersey Shore. This book can be purchased on Amazon.com for $11.95! I am SO excited to announce that THIS FRIDAY NIGHT , August 6, 2010, 10pm to Midnight , Alex will be interviewed on-air in the studio of WRSU-FM, to WRSU 88.7 FM , Rutgers University, by Geoffrey Pape. The show is called Overnight Sensations , and is also available at www.nj.com/wrsu . They will be talking about the novel, “The Red Album of Asbury Park Remixed”, and the upcoming podcast. The show will feature songs from the podcast, including “Write Me a Song”. (He’s using it with Chapter 2) I hope you all listen in!! -Justina |
