ABOUT THE SONG
This was the second song I ever wrote (2002) and it's about dwelling on a friend who has changed as a result of a romantic relationship. It's about reminiscing back to when things were more friendly with that person before the romance, and how romantic feelings and emotions can make things so complicated, and sometimes very awkward. Oh teen romance, how I don't miss you at all! Words and Music by Justina Carubia Self Titled EP ©2003 Verse 1: Time’s been passin’ so slow But you have changed I try not to think of you But memories still remain Pre Chorus: I even ripped your picture off my wall I tell myself not to wait for you to call Chorus: I know you don’t want me no more It’s driving me insane I liked you The way you were before Why’d you have to change? I liked you The way you were before Verse 2: My heart still trembles at The thought of you But it’s only a matter of time Till I’m through with you Pre Chorus: Don’t wanna hide in the shadows of love anymore I just want you The way you were before Chorus: I know you don’t want me no more It’s driving me insane I liked you The way you were before Why’d you have to change? I liked you The way you were before Bridge: There was something there But now you just don’t care Chorus: I know you don’t want me no more It’s driving me insane I liked you The way you were before Why’d you have to change? I liked you The way you were before I liked you The way you were before I liked you The way you were before
